In 1996 Avanti Architects, working with Community Housing Association, won the Wynford Challenge, an open competition to secure the future of this significant post-war housing scheme in Islington by Lubetkin and Tecton.

The project involved the complete regeneration of the building fabric and services, reconfiguration of the landscaping and the provision of a new children's play facility. The project now provides 85 mixed tenure apartments, including two penthouses and has won several awards.
