Avanti Architects has worked on over 150 listed buildings that have ranged from an Elizabethan manor house in Hackney to the Penguin Pool at London Zoo. This experience includes the restoration and conversion of eight Grade I buildings and work on scheduled monuments and sites of special interest.

We advise and work as consultants for English Heritage, the National Trust, the City of Westminster, London Undrground and other agencies in this specialist field. This work has involved our developing the repair technology required to overcome the challenges of ailing concrete and steel construction. An intelligent conservation strategy often leads to interesting design opportunities and commercially successful developments.

We have developed a particular interest in the conservation and conversion of modern buildings dating from the 1920s and in large post-war housing schemes.
